June 2025 Arts/Dance Project Performances.

During the academic year 24/25, some of our Year 2 and Year 3/4 pupils took part in a pilot Dance Project scheme, culminating in a performance in front of other schools.  The teachers who took part in this project will cascade their learning to other staff within our school. Performing in any capacity, such as acting, dancing, or singing, significantly enhances a child’s confidence by providing a safe space to express themselves, face fears, and learn resilience. These activities also encourage public speaking, develop body awareness and physical confidence, and foster a sense of community.  Our Year 3/4 performance can be found below –

Netball – 3rd in the All-Wales competition in Aberystwyth!

The 24/25 school year was a particularly successful one for netball under the coaching of Mrs Sue-Ellen Jensen. Our girls’ netball team achieved great success at the annual Urdd Netball Tournament, where they not only won the county tournament but also went on to represent Conwy at the All-Wales competition in Aberystwyth. The team’s hard work and dedication paid off, and they made it to the semi-finals—a tremendous achievement and a very proud moment for the team, the school and the county. Later in the year, our mixed netball team also showcased their talents, winning every game in the group stages of the Urdd County Mixed Netball Tournament. They made it all the way to the semi-finals, and their performance was nothing short of outstanding. Both of these achievements are a testament to the commitment, skill, and sportsmanship demonstrated by our students and Mrs Jensen who gave up weekends to ensure that the teams had her support during the matches. A brief video follows of the tournament –
