Dear Parents/Carers                                                           

SCHOOL DINNER MONEY: PLEASE NOTE THAT AFTER HALF TERM, ALL DINNER MONEY PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE VIA PARENT PAY. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CASH FOR DINNER MONEY PAYMENT. If this is a problem, please telephone Reception to make an appointment to see Mr Jones. If you have not already set Parent Pay up, you will receive a letter next week explaining how this must be done. School dinners cost £2.30 per day or £11.50 for the whole week.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PAYMENT FOR THE PANTO THIS YEAR WILL ALSO BE DONE VIA PARENT PAY THEREFORE IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU SET PARENT PAY UP WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE LETTERS NEXT WEEK (IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE SO ALREADY). Again, we will NOT be accepting cash for Panto payment.

AFTERSCHOOL CLUB CHANGES –

CLWB URDD (Years 3 – 6) PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO URDD AFTERSCHOOL CLUB THIS THURSDAY 18TH OCTOBER. Next session October 25th with Rhydian from the Urdd.

CLWB RYGBI (Years 3 – 6)THIS DAY HAS NOW CHANGED FROM MONDAY TO A WEDNESDAY.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS NEXT WEEK – due to Parents Evenings, please note the following changes –

NETBALL CANCELLED – Monday 22nd October (Years 4 – 6)

DRAGON SPORTS CANCELLED – Monday 22nd October (Years 4 – 6)

CLWB CANU – STILL GOING AHEAD – Monday 22nd October. Years 3 – 6

YEAR 6 COOKERY CLUB – WILL GO AHEAD ON TUESDAY 23rd October.

RUGBY – WILL GO AHEAD ON WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER (Years 3 – 6)

LEARNING TO BEE – WILL GO AHEAD ON WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER (Infants 3 – 5pm, Juniors 3.30 – 5pm, cost of £10 per session, call 07952 065735 for details. Collect children from Main Reception.

URDD CLUB (Years 3 – 6) – WILL GO AHEAD ON THURSDAY 25TH OCTOBER (Rhydian from Urdd)

LEARNING 2 BEE TUITION SERVICE – this is a creative, fun, school based private tuition service that will be available in our school from tomorrow Wednesday 17th October. Sessions cost £10 which include a drink and a snack. Infant sessions will run from 3 – 5pm and Juniors will run from 3.30 – 5pm (held in Dosbarth Gogarth). PTA Dates for the Diary!!

Monster Ball – Years 3 & 4, £2 per child to include drink. School Hall. Wednesday 24th October from 4.30pm  until 5.30pm.

Monster Ball – Year 5 & 6, £2 per child to include drink. School Hall. Wednesday 24th October from 5.45pm until 6.45pm.

There will be a spooky tuck shop available and prizes for the scariest costume!!

Please collect your children from Main reception promptly. Thank you.

MUSIC LESSONS 2018/2019 REMINDER – JUNIORS : Music Lessons have started and Invoices can be paid via Parent Pay. WE NOW HAVE ONE WOODWIND SPACE (sax/flute) and 4 VIOLIN SPACES.

YEAR 5 CYCLE TRAINING: The course started last Monday and was very well attended. Please note that the last session has been postponed from Thursday 18th October to Thursday 25th October. – please remember bikes and helmets.

LABELS ON CLOTHING/COATS: PLEASE can parents ensure that your child’s name is written clearly in any clothing – we already have a large amount of lost property.

FLU IMMUNISATION FORMS (Reception to Year 6 children): For information, the Flu Immunisation will take place on Wednesday 24th October during school time.

JUNIORS FRUIT CLUB: The School Council are selling fruit to Juniors during morning breaks. The cost is 20pence per piece of fruit.

JUNIORS AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS – these have now started – PLEASE SEE SEPARATE e-mail with dates/times etc.

 

PE KIT (JUNIORS): A kindly reminder that children need a change of clothes for PE i.e. white T-shirt and black shorts/trainers and a tracksuit/rainproof jacket dependent on the weather – children will be having PE whatever the weather.

SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL: Please note that there is still no School Crossing Patrol.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY DATES:

October Half Term – Last day of school is Friday 26th October. Children come back to school on Monday 5th November.
