PTA SPONSORED WALKS – NEXT WEEK: The Sponsored Walks have been arranged as follows and sponsor forms will be given to pupils today (Year 1 will receive theirs next week) – please can all children wear sensible footwear and bring a bottle of water, thank you.

Nursery classes – Tuesday 21st May – Own Clothes
Reception – Tuesday 21st May – optional Fancy dress.
Juniors (Years 3 – 6) – Friday 24th May.

PLASTIC BOTTLE TOPS REQUEST: Dosbarth Geirionydd (Year 3) are busy re-vamping the outside reception area and are asking if people could bring in plastic bottle tops – they will be using them to brighten up the area. Many thanks to the PTA for funding the project so far – we have bought new plants/paint and are busy upcycling!
MUSIC LESSONS – if your child receives Music Lessons, please note that the fee for Summer Term is now payable via Parent Pay. Many thanks.
URDD ATHLETICS COMPETITIONS: Good luck to all our pupils from Years 3 to 6, who will be representing our school at Parc Eirias tomorrow evening (Wednesday 15th May) – letters have been given to those taking part. Pob lwc i bawb!

DAILY MILE INFORMATION (Reminder): After Easter the Young Ambassadors and Mrs Owen are aiming to revive the Daily Mile throughout the school – 15 minutes of running/jogging should happen on a daily basis to boost brain power, concentration and wellbeing. It’s proven!! Record sheets will be kept to see which classes have participated the most during the week.
JUNIORS THURSDAY FITNESS (reminder): This is being re-introduced every Thursday from 2.30-3.15pm. The format will alternate between circuit activities and some Jo Wicks (The BodyCoach) style HIIT training, led by the Young Ambassadors and accompanied by some upbeat music.
PE KITS: PLEASE CAN YOU ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN THEREFORE HAVE THEIR PE KITS IN SCHOOL EVERY DAY. They will also need water bottles. Thank you.
SCHOOL DINNERS – PRICE INCREASE REMINDER. We have been advised by Conwy County Borough Council that the prices for school dinners will increase to £2.50 per meal after Easter. A copy of the new Summer menu has already been e-mailed and children have already brought copies home.

MISS ALICE COMPETITION (Saturday 1st June) reminder. Llandudno Town Council have provided a limited number of Application forms for those youngsters in the age range of 8-10 years on 1st June 2019. The closing date is Friday, 17th May. Forms are available from the school office.
NATIONAL TEST DATES Years 2 – 6 reminder – This year’s statutory tests for pupils in Years 2 to 6 will take place between Tuesday 7 May to Tuesday 14 May 2019. Please note that part of the procedural maths test is to be undertaken on-line this year, and they will be completed in school by 13th June. These tests are statutory, that is to say every child in the relevant age groups must sit them and they can only be administered during the official time period above. Please note that any applications for any holidays during this period will not be approved. Monday Football 12.45-1.15pm Years 3 – 6 by invitation – children to see Mr Huw Llewelyn Jones if interested please. If your child is attending these sessions, please ensure they have appropriate clothing with them – sessions take place on the school field.
Tuesday Cookery Club 3.30 – 4.30pm – Year 6 – as advised in individual letters.
Wednesday Rugby 3.30 – 4.15pm, Years 3 – 6 – no Rugby Wednesday 15th May
