Letter from the Headteacher 3rd December

Dear Parents/Carers

Several parents have asked about sending cards and gifts to Mrs Hughes. If this is something you wish to do, then you can bring them to school and we can make sure that Mrs Hughes receives them. Just to update you, Mrs Hughes has started her treatment which let her rather under the weather last week, however things have improved and she will receive another dose of chemo next week. Our charity focus this Christmas will be Alaw Ward in Ysbyty Gwynedd where Mrs Hughes is receiving treatment. We will hold a Christmas Jumper day on Thursday 20th December with proceeds being donated to Alaw Ward.

Urdd Swimming Gala: Congratulations are extended to Lucas Thomas Year 5 on his recent successes at the Conwy County Urdd swimming gala, held at Llandudno. He became the outright winner of the IM for Year 5 & 6 boys in a time of 1 minute 32 seconds. He also came 1st in the Year 5 & 6 boys breaststroke, swimming 50m in 47 seconds. Lucas will now be representing the school and the County, at the all Wales Urdd swimming gala in Cardiff on January 26th, 2019. We are proud of you Lucas. In addition well done to all the other pupils who competed at the gala two weeks ago.
