PTA SPONSORED WALKS – The sponsored walks have been a great success this week. Please can sponsor money be returned to school by Friday 7th June at the latest please. Many thanks for your support.

SPORTS DAY DATES: Please note that Sports Days are being held as follows (weather permitting) –

PTA Father’s Day Pop Up Shop: Wrapped items for Father’s Day will be on sale on Wednesday 12th June and Thursday 13th June for £2.50. They will be on sale for Junior pupils during afternoon break and Infants can buy them at 3pm from members of the PTA on the Infants yard.

 Year 6 Leaver’s Party: This will be held on Tuesday 16th July from 5.30 – 7pm at Ysgol Craig y Don. Invitations will be given to all Year 6 pupils after half term. Please note that Year 6 pupils will not be allowed to leave school early on the day, thank you.

SUMMER FAYRE: The Summer Fayre will take place on Thursday July 11th from 3-5pm. If you know of any local traders who would like to attend or donate a raffle prize, please ask them to contact the school Reception. Many thanks

Urdd Cross Country/Trawsgwlad: The event is held at Y Faenol near Bangor for years 3-6 on Thursday evening, June 20th. Details to follow in early June.

PLASTIC BOTTLE TOPS REQUEST Reminder: Dosbarth Geirionydd (Year 3) are busy re-vamping the outside reception area and are asking if people could bring in plastic bottle tops – they will be using them to brighten up the area. Many thanks to the PTA for funding the project so far – the front Reception area is looking fantastic!

MUSIC LESSONS – if your child receives Music Lessons, please note that the fee for Summer Term is now payable via Parent Pay. Many thanks.

DAILY MILE INFORMATION (Reminder): The Young Ambassadors and Mrs Owen are aiming to revive the Daily Mile throughout the school – 15 minutes of running/jogging should happen on a daily basis to boost brain power, concentration and wellbeing. It’s proven!! Record sheets will be kept to see which classes have participated the most during the week.

JUNIORS THURSDAY FITNESS (reminder): This is being re-introduced every Thursday from 2.30-3.15pm. The format will alternate between circuit activities and some Jo Wicks (The BodyCoach) style HIIT training, led by the Young Ambassadors and accompanied by some upbeat music.

PE KITS: PLEASE CAN YOU ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN THEREFORE HAVE THEIR PE KITS IN SCHOOL.

PARENT PAY – SCHOOL DINNERS – please can you ensure that any overdue dinner monies are paid, thank you.

 NATIONAL TEST DATES Years 2 – 6 reminder – Please note that part of the procedural maths test is to be undertaken on-line this year, and they will be completed in school by 13th June.

JUNIORS AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS – finishing/start dates.

Please ensure that children have PE kits with them on the day for sporting afterschool clubs.

Monday Dragon Sports – 3.30 – 4.15pm, Years 4 to 6.

Monday Netball 3.30 – 4.15pm Years 4 to 6

Monday Football 12.45-1.15pm Years 3 – 6 by invitation – children to see Mr Huw Llewelyn Jones if interested please. If your child is attending these sessions, please ensure they have appropriate clothing with them – sessions take place on the school field.

Tuesday Cookery Club 3.30 – 4.30pm – Year 6 – as advised in individual letters.

Wednesday Rugby 3.30 – 4.15pm, Years 3 – 6

Wednesday TRI-GOLF 3.30 – 4.15pm, Years 3 – 6

Wednesday Learning to Be sessions (Tuition services £10 per session, contact 07952 065735 as per instructions from them). Free taster sessions are available! Sessions finish at 5pm.

Thursdays 3.30 – 4.15pm Clwb Urdd (years 3 – 6).

Friday: Llandudno Football In the Community: 3.30 – 4.30pm (fee payable. Please contact 01492 860945 or e-mail schools@llandudno for more information). Years 3 – 6

Ty Llywelyn Homework Club held Monday to Friday. 4 – 5.30pm, Years 3 – 6.

 DATES FOR THE DIARY:

Half Term: Last day in school is today Friday 24th May, children will be back in school on Monday 3rd June.

Summer Holidays: Last day in school is Friday 19th July.

September 19 start date: 2nd September is a Training Day, children will be back in school on Tuesday 3rd September.
