Letter from the Deputy Headteacher 19th July 2019

Dear Parents/Carers

Yet another year over and what a busy one it has been!

The whole school family have had wonderful and exciting experiences throughout the year and as usual we are very proud of our pupils and of their endeavours and successes.

Our Year 6 cohort leave today to begin the next chapter of their learning journey in High School and we wish every single one of them our love and best wishes.

Also beginning a new chapter are some of our staff.

Firstly, Miss Sian Eckley leaves us as a T.A. but will return on occasion as a supply teacher.  We thank her very much for her efforts this past year and wish her well.

Secondly, Miss Lowri Hughes is getting married over the Summer Break.  Huge congratulations from us all.

Next, after working as TA for 17 years, Mrs. Eleri Thomas is retiring.  We thank her very much for her work, care and attention that many of our children have received over the years.  All the best.

Finally, after 30 years of dedicated service to the school in many guises, too many to mention, Mrs. Owen has decided to retire too.  She will be missed very much by all children and staff, including colleagues in the authority.  All the best.

On behalf of the Senior Management, I would like to express our gratitude to the Staff, PTA, Board of Governors and especially you the Parents for your continued support.

September 2nd is a staff training day, we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Tuesday 3rd September.

I hope you’ll have a lovely Summer Break and we’ll see you in September.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Elaine Gelling, Deputy Headteacher
