Letter from Headteacher

Annwyl Rieni a Cheidwadwyr. Dear Parents and Carers.

It is finally the end of term tomorrow, and what a term it has been! The children have experienced so much in the past four months and are working hard at their skills! Thanks go to all staff for teaching, nurturing and guiding them every day.

As a school in partnership with you, we have shown our community spirit overwhelmingly by raising money and resources for charities and funds. We really appreciate all of your contributions as times are hard for everyone. However, we are safe in the knowledge, that many who are more unfortunate than ourselves, have benefitted from your generosity. Locally and Nationally. The most recent being ‘Cuddles Special Baby Unit’ at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, which we raised £584.30 during our Christmas Concerts!

In addition, we feel that the children have gained more awareness of the importance of giving and supporting others. At Ysgol Craig –y- Don, we appreciate and promote the significance of tolerance, diversity and empathy. All of which your children experience on a daily basis. Not just at Christmas.

As 2017 comes to an end, may I wish you all a very peaceful Christmas and Festive Season with hope for a bright and positive New Year.

P.S. Note that school re-opens for the children on Tuesday 9th of January.

Also, the break will be an opportune time to treat ‘little visitors’ and their nits – so check please!
