PTA
The first meeting of this school year will be held on Wednesday 28th September at 3.30pm in the Staff Room. We hoping to have at least one parent/guardian/grandparent to represent each class. Please come along and bring your ideas. Four meetings are held a year and new members are welcome. The PTA have just installed notice boards for parents – one by the Junior gate and the other for Infants so that you can keep up to date with events etc.

During the year, there will be sporting tournaments, and competitions in the local and regional Eisteddfodau. These vary from singing, reciting and acting, to literacy, art and craft. In order to compete in these events, your child must be a member of the Urdd. The membership of 2016/17 is £7 per child (£19 for a family of 3 children), if paid before December 1st. Cheques should be made payable to Ysgol Craig y Don who administer the Urdd membership. To ensure that your child joins the Urdd, there is a membership envelope which can be collected from Mrs Merian Hughes, Year 4. On obtaining the envelope, it must be returned to Mrs Hughes with the fee and your child’s full details.
